How It Started
LayUp started the same way a lot of good ideas do — out of frustration.
As part of a basketball club ourselves, we were constantly dealing with the same issues: overpriced uniforms, inconsistent quality, limited customisation, and long delays. It didn't make sense. Clubs were paying premium prices but still compromising on what they actually wanted.
So instead of settling, we decided to build a better solution.
LayUp was originally created to supply gear for our own club — designed the way we wanted it, delivered on time, and at a price that actually made sense. Not long after, other clubs started asking if we could do the same for them.
That's when we realised this wasn't just our problem — it was happening across clubs and associations everywhere.
Today, LayUp works with basketball clubs, academies, and associations across Australia, supplying fully customised gear that looks better, performs better, and costs significantly less.
